On 25 October 2021, a conference on the LivingSTEM project took place in the Culture House in Miastkowo. The event was organized by the Polish Farm Advisory and Training Centre. It was attended by teachers from local primary schools, educators, people involved in permaculture and promoting STEM education in the region and others interested in the project's topic. We introduced the LivingSTEM project and talked about the project partners, individual tasks and materials that were created as part of the project. We also presented the project website and Facebook profile, encouraging to follow it. In addition, we presented videos prepared by the children as part of the project. At the end we handed out small gifts with the project logo related to our project (small honey jars and wax candles - a reference to the workshops prepared within the project). On 18 October 2021, a conference on the LivingSTEM project took place in Lystbækgård. The event was organized by ed-consult. It was attended by teachers from local primary schools, educators, people involved in permaculture and the promotion of STEM education in the region and others interested in the subject of the project. The Cypriot Multiplier event "Permaculture and STEAM for teachers" in the framework of the European Project "LivingSTEM" was held on Thursday, October 14 17:45 - 20:30 at Home for Cooperation, in Nicosia-Cyprus. The conference aimed mainly in Promoting Permaculture to students aged 10-14 in Cyprus, through the dissemination of the results and deliverables of the project. It was also a good opportunity to try out some activities with the teachers as the pandemic conditions did not allow us to visit the schools within the project’s duration period. The agenda included welcoming note from Mrs. Giota Mourettou, Head of the Research and Development Department and co-founder of the organization, C.I.P. Citizens In Power, overview of the LivingSTEM Project by Dr. Georgia Solomonidou, Researcher and Senior Manager of European Projects, C.I.P. Citizens in Power. This was done in a different way which included narration but also Kahoot game played by all participants in teams! Through Kahoot!, participants learned by playing and mostly got a taste of what their students will experience through the ‘Ideal Menu Game’. Living Science and Sustainability: results and perspectives of the Living STEM project EDU lab, the Italian partner of the project, on 11 and 12 October, organized two days on Science and Sustainability at Villa Fernandes in Portici with the aim of disseminating concepts and tools of the #livingSTEM project. The workshop with the teachers The 11 October was dedicated to the world of education. An intense afternoon, moderated by Valentina Piccioli, CEO Just one Earth, with the participation of Marina Ferrara, Più ORTI in CIttà, Maria Luisa Pugliano, Istituto Comprensivo “Don Peppe Diana” and Ezio Terzini (Director of the Centro ricerche Enea Portici), Stefana Caiazzo (Urban Architect) and Enrichetta Idato (former head mistress) of Communitas Vesuviana. We talked about Environment, Nature, Permaculture, Outdoor Education, the need to build partnerships between schools and local actors, the use of gamification as effective learning methodology, we talked about transferring important issues about environmental sustainability to students. The #livingSTEM project uses the practical experience of Permaculture to involve young people between 10 and 14 years old in scientific subjects, to promote STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) learning. At the same time, it creates awareness with educators and young people about environmental problems, and provides them with some key elements for an environmentally friendly lifestyle. The #livingSTEM project offers more than 50 recreational-educational activities around six themes.
